 Pleasantly surprised - Just go buy! January 1, 2009
There is one more rave review to add to the 300+ pile.
The sound from these are dynamic, crisp and clean. For a 2.1 they sound amazing. The subwoofer does exactly what it says on the box and packs a real punch. They look good, have quality build and I can't really fault them - Money truly well spent. For 30 you can bring your all your MP3s n movies totally alive.
p.s. I also listened to the Creative T20s - very good yes but personally I think these sound better.

I was a little wary when buying these as the price tag seemed a bit low. When i plugged these in and messed about with the equalizer on the drivers and wmp i was amazed by the awesomeness of these speakers. Music is enjoyable at the 9 o clock position on the volume control and is party worthy just over half way up on the volume control. Don't hesitate about the price; these speakers are fantastic.
p.s The only con is having to think of ways to get your parents out of the house.
Really fab and inexpensive speakers December 30, 2008
I had 2 sets of these speakers, the one set went with my old desktop computer. I have the other set hooked up to my laptop and they absolutely rock. Excellent sound quality. Would definitely recommend.
Best value speakers you'll find December 24, 2008
I bought these speakers for my PC over a year ago, now 1 PC and 2 iPods later, they're still in perfect aesthetic and functional condition. Everyone who uses them is impressed, and many of my flatmates have resolved to buy a set of their own. Volume and Bass go louder than most will ever use (though I have occasionally angered the neighbours by playing Metallica at close to full blast) and the sound quality is impeccable.
The only very small gripe I have (not nearly enough to lose a star in my rating) is that the bass doesn't go as low as I would occasionally like. This may be a problem to people living in apartments with thin walls who don't want to disturb their neighbours.

All those people on the one star reviews go on about there being (too much) bass. Surely that's the REASON you buy a 2.1 speaker set!?
Used to have Logitech R20s, bit awful tbh, the bass was pitiful despite the sub and the sound was muddy overall. Got these and I rediscovered all my music! The bass is superb and never distorts unless you mess with EQ settings, in which case you are a fool! Turning the subwoofer volume to minimum doesn't turn it off, though why you'd want to is beyond me, music is meant to be listened to with all frequencies present rather than just mid-highs.
I play a lot of games, namely ones with gunshots and explosions, those who play Counter Strike will love the deagle; sounds like a mini nuke!
When it comes to music these speakers are great, metal sounds so much more agressive and electronic music is heard as originally intended, lots of bass!
My parents detest these things due to the subwoofer, so I think it does the job rather well!
Overall, EXCELLENT.
Point to note, there's nothing to say which sattelite is which, the one with the volume control and all the cables out of it is the one that goes on the right.
