Trevor Beswick January 30, 2010 T. R. Beswick (Wigan, UK) I am using this product to allow sound from a computer to be fed into a Church sound System. It easily supplies the additional gain we required.
Made a difference to ipod on Car Stereo June 21, 2009 Iain Catto (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought the Boostaroo to try and boost the volume for my ipod Nano when attached to the aux port on my car stereo. Makes quite a difference, not perhaps as big as I'd hoped for but certainly a decent improvement.
Max vol could be a notch higher May 13, 2009 Charlie Foster (UK) I bought this item to boost the pathetic volume of my my new iPod classic and it just about does the trick. Sound quality is excellent but I shouldn't have to be operating at maximum volume.
Boostaroo beats EU! June 25, 2008 Daniel Belton (Worthing, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Highly miffed to learn new IPODS were set with volume limiters by the EU, I was even thinking of selling my new Apple Nano as the volume was so low, it was even hard to enjoy it in quiet areas.
Still, after a bit of research, I found the Boostaroo in-line preamp and it has easily doubled the volume, which at least lets you hear songs, and you can blast them out happily, if you need to.
People have mentioned the size of the Boostaroo (like a slightly hefty pack of Polos) but myself, not being bothered about the so called aesthetics of Ipods, or the size (in fact find them slightly ridiculous - a 2 inch TV screen - whoopee!) I find the IPOD and Boostaroo still slip easily into a jacket pocket, and has solved all my problems.
For size suggestion tho, maybe Boostaroo could manufacture a smaller one that has only ONE earphone socket?

I ordered this because my Laptop's headphone output was way too quiet, this solved the problem brilliantly now 10-20% volume is easily loud enough.
