The splitter I received (from Indigostarfish) is a branded Belkin connector allowing you to connect 2 pairs of headphones/speakers to a single iPod etc. Connected to an iPod touch, both sets of headphones work perfectly. The lead is very short, the splitter seems sturdily made. The headphones fit very tightly into the sockets, and you need to be careful to push them right in. Very pleased with this product, excellent value.
Seeing that some reviewers didn't receive genuine Belkin products - I notice the highlighted supplier changes depending on the lowest price, so might be worth ordering from Indigostarfish (or another supplier with good reputation) to make sure you get the branded Belkin product.

I wanted a splitter so I could have my pc speakers and my midi system plugged in through my soundcard at the same time so I wouldn't have to keep plugging and unplugging while gaming. This Belkin splitter arrived quickly, its quality, excellent. For such a small and cheap piece of kit the plugs are gold plated and the wire fairly thick. I played some music through both sets of speakers and detected no degradation whatsoever. Very happy with this purchase. Recommended.

the splitter does just what it says. It is good to be able to have 2 pairs of headphones in one ipod as it means you dont have to sit so close to each other just to stop the earphones from coming out of your ear! Buy this, it is a great product and it will always be useful to have!
